520 _aThe ambition of this project is to design and manufacture the electric vehicle which can be used to replace the existing vehicle working on combustion technology. The main aim is to reduce the consumption of fuel and to reduce carbon emission. This will give more comfort compared to existing vehicle. Now a days global warming, pollution, extinction of fuel and depletion of resources are the major reasons for shifting our human race towards clean and renewable energy. One of the ways of doing it is by reducing the major consumer and contributor of fuel and carbon dioxide which are private and public vehicles. There are two ways of reducing these kinds of consumer. One way is to motivate people to go for new electric vehicle and another is to convert existing vehicles to electric vehicles. Considering the fact that second method of Converting an existing petrol driven vehicle into electric vehicle is easy, we chose to do so. A petrol driven Pulsar 150 dtsi bike was converted into electric vehicle and similar ratings when compared with petrol driven vehicle were achieved
