| 520 | _aPerformance of any building is the most important for the occupants residing in the building. The satisfaction level of the occupants, according to their need can be assessed by Post occupancy evaluation process. Post occupancy evaluation process is a systematic and rigorous way of evaluating buildings after construction when they are occupied for some times. Many research and publications from the BMTPC have indicated issues related to new building construction technologies. One of these emerging construction technologies is the Monolithic concrete construction technology. In this technology all the structural elements like beams, columns, slabs, walls, sunshades along with door and window openings are casted in one go, monolithically. This technology provides fast construction, and it has proved to be blessing for the Indian government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna launched in the year 2015. Since in the monolithic concrete buildings the benefits and challenges are more evident, there are still ambiguity in post occupancy experience. This research paper has aimed to identify the Post occupancy issues in monolithic concrete buildings. There are three levels of Post occupancy evaluation i.e., indicative, investigative and diagnostic. In this paper only indicative level of POE has been conducted from the occupants’ perspective. In this paper three case studies have been chosen and interview has been conducted to the 50 occupants along with questionnaire survey and site observation for the data collection. The result of the occupants’ responses shall form a basis for the next level of post occupancy evaluation and shall be helpful for the future design and improvement for the monolithic concrete construction technology. | ||
