Drastic changes have happened in the fields of science, engineering and technology advancements in the 21st century. The traditional way of doing jobs may be sustainable but not effective. A large number of Indian engineering institutions have been playing a key role in the development of technology. In India, after the nineteenth century, the occupational structure has shifted from manual to technical side. This transformation has brought about changes in the nature of job, and the results are computerization, industrialization and a global workforce. To gain employability, engineering graduates need to pay close attention to job nature and act accordingly. To be compettitive in the global market, engineering students need to master the soft skills.
