Performance Analysis of Regenerator of Liquid Desiccant Air Conditioning System - Vol.8(1), Jan-Apr - Noida STM Journals 2018 - 21-25p.

LDAC systems have been a keen topic of research in the area of dehumidification of air and various researchers and studies have shown that LDAC system is an economical and eco-friendly way for moisture removal as compared to conventional systems. Various researches have been done on dehumidifiers and regenerators in order to enhance their performances and to overcome problems like a carryover of desiccant in direct contact type ones. In this study, an experiment was carried out and the behaviour of the regenerator in the system was studied and it was found out that as the mass flow rate of the desiccant material is varied, the specific humidity and moisture removal rate change from 6.15 to 8.75 gm/kg and 0.0680 to 0.0750 gm/s respectively. The alteration of the flow rate also impacts the effectiveness of the system as seen from its variation from 0.239 to 0.416.
