Cost performance of Public, private Partnership (ppp) road Projects in India - Vol, 35(3), Jul, Sep - Pune NICMAR 2022 - 13-22p

purpose of this paper is to identify the best public-private partnership (PPP) model in terms of cost performance for road projects out of four variants build- operate-transfer (BOT), build -own-operate-transfer BOOT) and design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT).the methodology adopted in this paper is an analysis of secondary data on public-private-partnership road projects and testing the hypotheses claim for the difference in cost performance among groups by performing analysis of variance (ANOVA) posthoc test. the study is limited to the four variants of public-private-partnership (ppp) road projects and suggests the best variants out of those four.other parameters of project performance like time, social benefits etc. are not considered in this paper. the paper compares the cost performance of 450 public, private partnership (PPP)road projects categorized based on the ppp model type and size of the project. this paper is an attempt to study the cost parameter of ppp infrastructural road projects in India. the paper investigates how frequent project cost overrun happens in road projects in India and also identifies the best performing public-private-partnership (ppp) for roads
