The fruit has many health benefits like vitamin A, vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, niacin, minerals, calcium, potassium, and iron. The abundant bioactive compounds of plum are phenolic acids, anthocyanins, carotenoids, minerals and pectins. The predominant phenolic compounds in plums are caffeic acid, neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid and cryptochlorogenic acid. this review contains the different reported nutritional & bioactive constituents and pharmacological activities like anabolic & anti-catabolic, analgesic, anti-aging, etc. |
